Happy New Year, everyone!

Looking ahead to 2023, it is certain that AI tools will play a growing role in the field of software development. Now is not the time to be conservative – it is essential for developers to stay up-to-date with the latest tools and technologies in order to succeed. New AI tools appear mostly every day. If you need to create a simple form, simple page for your web / mobile project - go ahead! Don’t type everything from scratch, use AI tools to make it faster.
With that in mind, let's take a moment to revisit the basics of software development. Algorithms and programming languages are the foundation upon which all software is built, and it is crucial for developers to have a strong understanding of these concepts. Repeating basics of languages, algorithms can fill the forgotten gaps in mind, helps to make a solid understanding of a software development process. I personally finally learnt foundations of JavaScript when I started working as a IT instructor. I had to repeat that basics several times a week and finally I didn’t need StackOverflow to use base methods, constructions.
However, technical skills alone are not enough to guarantee success in the field. In addition to mastering algorithms and languages, it is vital to have the ability to think abstractly and understand the big picture of a project. This means considering not only how your code fits into the overall goals of the project, but also understanding the long-term implications of your work. It is important to be mindful of how your work will fit into the bigger picture of the project, and to consider what the project may look like in the coming 3-6 months. Developers who are too focused on the technical details may lose sight of the bigger picture and the ultimate goals of the project.
Collaboration is also key in software development. It will not change in that year. No developer works in isolation, and it is necessary to be able to work well with others and consider their perspectives and ideas. This not only helps to complete projects efficiently and effectively, but it also allows for the identification of flaws in judgement that may not be immediately apparent to an individual developer. In this regard, the work of psychologist Daniel Kahneman, specifically his book "Thinking, Fast and Slow," can be particularly insightful. Kahneman's research on cognitive biases and the limitations of human decision-making highlights the importance of seeking out diverse perspectives and seeking to understand others' viewpoints in order to make better, more informed decisions.
In summary, the skills that will set developers apart in 2023 include a strong foundation in algorithms and programming languages, the ability to think abstractly and understand the big picture, and the ability to collaborate with others. By embracing these skills and staying up-to-date with the latest AI tools, software engineers, QA specialists, analysts can not only create high-quality software that meets the needs of their users, but also stay ahead of the curve in the rapidly-evolving world of technology. AI tools can greatly enhance the development process, speeding up time-to-market for projects and making it easier for beginners to learn new frameworks and concepts.
